KNITTING MINISTRY
The Knitting
Ministry is a relatively new ministry to our congregation. Begun in 2005
and led by Cindy Lambert-Weaver, we gather each week to make lap blankets,
baby blankets and prayer shawls. These gifts of love are brought to the congregation for
prayer. The gift is then presented to a baby at their baptism or to an ill
member of our congregation - bringing with it the love and prayers of our
community.
The Knitting Ministry gathers each
Wednesday evening from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. We welcome all knitters,
crocheters, or other needle workers who would like to share this ministry with
our group.
If you are interested in joining,
please call our group leader: Cindy Lambert-Weaver at (610) 614-1477.
We also ask for your support in
donating yarn or any financial support toward
the purchase of yarn (see below) for this
beneficial ministry. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
Yarn preferred: 4 ply worsted;
baby yarn, variegated colors, both female & male colors and general colors

UMCOR
RELIEF EFFORTS:

South America, the Caribbean. UMCOR serves in long-term disaster recovery in
the US.
UMCOR always works to enable those affected by disasters to take
responsibility for relief and recovery work.
Providing Immediate Relief
UMCOR works to provide relief and rehabilitation for the
entire person-physical, social, and psychological-in a distress situation.
Securing Long-Term Recovery
Recognizing that disasters cause disruptions that can last
for years and often create permanent changes in people's lives, UMCOR works
within a community to address the long-term effects of a disaster and assist
people in rebuilding and adjusting to change.
Partnering to Maximize Resources and Effort
Wherever possible, UMCOR forms partnerships with other
religious and secular organizations to pool resources and avoid duplicating
efforts.
